Our position is that AI should be treated as a tool, not the product itself. While AI can be incredibly powerful, it is not needed all the time or in every workflow.

The process begins with discovery. This is where we explore your business goals, challenges and requirements. We also define what success looks like for you.

Design and ideation then turn that understanding into possible approaches, including concepts, workflows, mock-ups and a proposed solution.

We validate the proposal through your feedback, refining it where needed, before agreeing on the final approach and creating a delivery plan.

At this stage, we understand the why, the what and the when. That gives us the clarity needed to define how we will deliver the solution successfully.

Human led, AI assisted

This sequence matters because, while AI can help build software and digital tools faster, speed is not the same as clarity. Without careful discovery and validation, it is easy to build a lot of things quickly, but not necessarily the right things.

At Backed by Humans, we use AI to assist with research, coding, API integrations and documentation. However, our model keeps human expertise at the centre of decision making, quality assurance and accountability.

Our team brings more than 30 years of combined experience delivering technology projects. We understand what it takes to successfully launch new tools and support teams through change. We only recommend deployment once we are confident the solution is secure, performs reliably and delivers against the agreed brief.

Staying model agnostic

Our solutions are model agnostic. This means we do not treat any single AI model, provider or platform as a core dependency.

This matters because the AI market is evolving rapidly. Tools will change, pricing will shift and capabilities will continue to improve. By remaining model agnostic, we reduce the risk of lock in and select technology based on suitability rather than trend.

Measuring the success

The final stage of our delivery process is Launch and Evolve. This reflects another important part of our partnership with clients: delivery does not end when something goes live.

After launch, we monitor performance, measure outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement. We can provide data that demonstrates how much time has been saved, how workflows have been simplified and where errors have been reduced.
